Organization

So we had our Yard Sale last weekend. It went pretty well. It is great to know that all that extra stuff is out of our house!! There are about 4 boxes of stuff that is left over. Right now I have a post on craigslist to try and sell it all for $50. If it does not sell, we will either take it to the Goodwill, or save it for our next Yard Sale, which we intend on doing at the end of the summer.....possibly the first weekend of September.

With being busy all week/weekend getting ready for and having the sale, the inside of the house has been neglected!! It looks like a whirlwind came through it! My dining table is stacked with junk, our little table in the kitchen, and all the kitchen counters....all just stacked with junk!! The living room looks like half of Lilly's toys have made it out here from her bedroom! But, it is all good....even after having the sale, we are still pretty broke....so I will be forced to stay home for a week, and get stuff done around the house. I get so irritated when I can't find something in my house because of all the clutter.

WOW Its May!!!

Well, I have not been very successful about posting blogs on here. Oh well. I keep trying! A lot has gone on in my life lately. Most of it stressful. Some of it positive. Lets talk about a positive! For the past 9 years I have been having this strange lower abdominal pain, which I figured was just related to 'girl pain'. It started to get worse and worse, and nearly everyday. It was so bad all I could do was lay in bed, curled up in a ball until the pain went away. I had not gone to see a doctor about this because we did not have any medical insurance for a long time. Finally, back in December, we bout some insurance. I went and saw a OBGYN doctor. She was so nice!! She said from what I was describing, it sounded like a bowel or bladder problem. They did an ultrasound of my uterus/fallopian tubes just to make sure. A cyst was found, and on a 2nd ultralsound it had gone away. She suggesed that I have PBS....painful bladder syndrome....and told me to follow a specifice diet, and slowly introduce certain foods, and see if I felt any pain from eating them. So it did. And, finally, after all these years, I have learned that I cannot eat CHOCOLATE, coffee, tea, any kind of fruit juice or anything carbonated. Those foods have been causing my bladder it get irritated, and have 'flares' and cause me all that pain!!! There were a ton of foods on the list, but those were the ones that were causing any pain. I don't care about having to give up soda pop, or coffee or tea....but it is not so easy when it comes to choclate.....because it isn't just like, a candy bar that I cant eat....it is anything that has coccoa in the ingrediatns....No chocolate milkshakes, yougurt, cereal, cookies, brownines, pudding, fudge....not even like, chocolate flavored intanst breakfast or cereal bars or anything!! And of course, no ice cream with anything chocolate in it.

Of course, it is MORE than worth it to give this stuff up to not be in that terrible pain.....

Morning Girl

I've become a bit of a morning person lately...I've discovered that if I wake up even 30 minutes eariler than my usual time, I can have a bit of time to myself before waking up Lilly. So this morning, after cleaning up after the puppy, I've decided to spend some time updating my blog!

We have had such nice wheather for the past few days!! It actually reached 70 degrees 2 days in a row for the first time in 6 months!!! Today is nice and sunny too, and the news said tommorrow we would be back to rain for at least a week....so I want to make the most out of today!! Since Easter is next Sunday, I am going to put Lilly in her Easter dress and take her outside and take pictures!

Dawn had her baby boy, Brian, on March 30th, and Lilly was so excited to be the big cousin!!

We took Roxie for her first walk. We started out with having her on the leash, but she was squealing the whole time, so we just let her walk with out it. It was fun, and at the end of the road both Lilly and Roxie had fun playing in a mud puddle....

With it being warmer out, Lilly has been able to wear some of her new clothes that Grandma Connie has been buying her, and that is cool because her winter wardrobe was getting borning!! Also, Lilly always gets a *kick* out of putting my shoes on!!

Lilly and her Barbies

Lilly has 5 or 6 Barbie dolls, and like most kids I know (or myself as a kid) she always wants to take all of the clothes right away.

The other day she has 2 barbies, naked, 'hugging and kissing', with their arms around each other!! So, I told her Grandma Connie that she needs a Ken doll, so she has a boy barbie doll, too. Tonight I brought her Ken doll home, and her new Barbie doll, and within 5 minutes of getting them out of the package, and, well.....just look at the picture.....

Easter Decorations

This morning Lilly and I pulled out and few Easter decorations that we have and put them up. Then when it was time to put Lilly down for her nap, as I was walking down the hall to her room, she said 'Goodnight decorations'...!! Talk about cute!

Last Christmas Eric bought Lilly some Play Doh. We don't bring it out very often, even though Lilly LOVES playing with it. Her newest thing is to smell the Play Doh....which I find funny because everyone knows what it smells like, and the smell always reminds you of your childhood!

Also, she got a new baby doll from her Grandma Connie. We brought in her cradle that was out in her play house (since it has been raining here everyday forever!). She put blankets and a pillow in the cradle, and was feeding the baby...it was too cute!

A week or so ago I made a comment to Eric that I wanted to get Lilly one of those metal TV trays for kids. Yesterday morning Reagan and I went to the Goodwill down the street to look around, and they had one!!! I was so excited!! She loves sitting on the floor and eating her meals on her TV tray....that has Spongebob on it, too!

Lucky Charms

Growing up I always wanted to buy a box of Lucky Charms cereal and just eat all the marshmellows out of it, but of course I was never allowed to do that. Today, as an adult, I am doing just that! Sitting on the couch, digging through the box of cereal to find just the marshmellows.......and it is wonderful!!! I guess there are some things about being older that are totally kick ass!!! Eric doesn't approve.....but too bad on this one!!
